About Amy
Parker's Paws was set up by me, Amy Parker, to provide a quality pet service that both you and your animals can trust and be happy with.
In July 2015, I graduated from the University of Surrey in Criminology and Sociology. My degree was a 4 year course which included a work placement year, which I completed as a Prince's Trust Team Leader in Guildford. My previous jobs have been focused on helping others as I love motivating people and supporting them to achieve. I attended the PopUp Business School in 2017 (now known as The Rebel School). Parker's Paws was lucky enough to be published as a success story in their latest impact report, this was a very proud moment! |
How does this link to working with animals?
During my time at University I would often look after people's animals voluntarily, as a hobby. Helping out with animal care was a great way to get outside and have fun. Owners would be very happy with how their pets were looked after and I got lots of positive comments about how impressed they were.
I have had a variety of pets from a young age and have always loved looking after them. Although I enjoyed my previous jobs, I felt that caring for animals comes very naturally to me and working with animals was destined to be. Animals are like family to people and I feel honoured that people trust me with their fur babies! What do I enjoy in my spare time?

I help run the Basingstoke Pug group, where we organise meet ups for Pug owners in Basingstoke. We put on charity events to raise money for The Pug Dog Rescue and Welfare Association, including a fancy dress Halloween competition and a Christmas party!
I have a Pug and a crested gecko. I love going on long walks with my dog and spoiling her. She stays with a close family friend when I am house sitting. Being outdoors is where I feel most relaxed. I love going on walks and camping in the New Forest. I love seeing the wildlife, exploring new places and having BBQ's in the sunshine. I studied art in college and I still like to sketch and paint; I like to be creative. My most recent Biro drawing was of Kevin the greyhound, shown in the picture to the right. I hope you now feel you know a few things about me and Parker's Paws, I look forward to hearing from you about your pets. Amy Parker Parker's Paws founder |
